Balanced flue gas fires are designed for homes without a chimney. Balanced flue gas fires are all glass fronted, room sealed appliances, dramatically increasing the efficiency of the fire to that of an open fronted gas fire.
Balanced flued gas fires can vent either off the back or top of the fire (dependent on the model in question), venting externally to the outside of the property. This type of fire does not need a power flue to extract the flue gases with it being glass fronted, which also means that it is much quieter and prevents cold air from the outside entering the room.
