Included with this fire is a 125mm 5" gather hood which can be used when connecting to a prefabricated flue or in instances where the product is being installed into an open chimney without a liner, which will also help to minimise heat loss and soot / debris falls onto the fire. Please note that whilst soot deposits on a gas fire are quite normal and to be expected, they will be more visable on a pebble and driftwood fuel effect. Similarly you may experience discolouration on the stainless steel back panel behind the fire which will vary in degree dependant on the flue pull and other local conditions, which again is quite normal and to be expected. It is reccomended that this fire should not be used as a sole source of heat rather as a secondary source in conjunction with central heating.
